| SUMMER IN THE CITY… I hope this message finds you well and that you and your family are ready for a summer vacation. A hallmark of summer and one of my favorite Holidays is certainly the Fourth of July celebration – which returns to the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables – a SKÅL Miami member. A lot has happened in the last few months. SKÅL Miami won first prize for 2021 for the most members achieved – WORLDWIDE! And this year, we participated in the SKÅL Club of the Year competition – Miami won 2nd place in the USA! (Click here to watch the video!) Since January, we have gone back to in-person receptions and networking events. From Chef Mike’s Wine bar dinner to an informative panel meeting at the fabulous Hilton Blue Lagoon, which included RCL, Hopper, and Expedia as speakers. We’ve also hosted productive networking business card exchanges at Segafredo, and Four Seasons Brickell, just to mention a few. And last month, our new SKÅL Miami member, Thriller Miami, invited us to Bayside Marketplace the Hard Rock Café for an energetic and exciting boat ride and libations. Even the SKÅL Vancouver president joined us that evening. In May, SKÅL Miami was represented in Orlando at a special 2-day event organized by SKÅL Orlando/USA with over 110 SKÅL North America Club members to discuss our industry’s current trends and future. Anthony Melchiorri, the hospitality expert and television personality who is the creator, co-executive producer, and host of the Travel Channel’s hotel turnaround show Hotel Impossible was the featured speaker. With things moving in the right direction for our tourism industry, it is time to refer SKÅL Miami to your industry friends and peers. Why not introduce a potential member at our next chapter event? Our chapter still offers the lowest membership fees in the SOFL travel industry. |
